IP Licensing Landscape: Key Updates
Brad Limpert will provide an update on recent case law and statutory changes affecting the licensing of intellectual property. This will include a review of changes to bankruptcy law, and the implied obligation of good faith contract performance. We’ll also look at how recent legal changes make terminations and renewals of license agreements more complicated and uncertain.
Brad is a lawyer and patent agent. In his private practice he advises clients on dispute resolution involving technology, licensing and intellectual property. He also assists with negotiating and implementing complex transactions in these spaces. His book, Technology Contracting: Law, Commentary and Precedents, is published by Thomson Reuters and he teaches part-time at Osgoode Hall Law School.
